We were just decorating our house for Christmas, unpacking all of the decorations for the season (and trust me, that’s a lot of decorations!!), when I opened this one box that surprised me…
• It was full of cowboy hats!!
• It was full of cowboy hats!!
That’s right, I use to wear cowboy hats all of the time, and have quite a collection!!
But you know, as time has gone by, I’ve kind of moved away from wearing those hats…
As a matter of fact, I’ve changed a lot over the years
• Hairstyles (the pictures will prove it!!)
• Clothing styles
• Foods (except cheeseburgers…I love cheeseburgers!!)
• Musical preference
• Even the people I hang out with has changed…
We always say “It’s a new day and a new season”…
Times and people do change…
But we are always looking for the comfort of things that never change…
Like those Christmas decorations…each one tells a story and stirs a special memory…
We still watch Christmas specials on TV that we loved as children, and get excited about Linus sharing the Christmas Story from Luke Chapter 2 (that never gets old)!
It is good to cherish those special things that never change!!
And the most important thing that never changes is God’s Love for us!!
And His Son who gave us the precious gift of salvation!!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Times and people may change, but I’m so thankful that Jesus never does!!
