You don’t have to go very far in this world to encounter negative people… Unfortunately, even in church!!
Now don’t get me wrong, I know we can all have bad days, even bad weeks, that leave us a little grumpy (I know I can be guilty of this)… but I’m talking about that negative person that finds something to complain about all of the time, regardless of the situation!!
If you’re not careful, this negativity can be contagious, and the next thing you know, everybody is complaining!!!
Christians… Come now… Really… What do you have to be so negative about!!!
Regardless of what life has thrown at you this week, you have to remember who you are, and more important, Who’s you are… Jesus paid the price for your sins, made a way for your salvation, set up a blessed life for you on this earth… but also gave you the ability to remain positive, even in this world surrounded by negativity… Just take a look in The Bible at what Jesus said;
John 16:33
- “Be of good cheer”…
Don’t you think that sounds like Jesus reminding us to be positive…?
He has overcome the world… That includes whatever problem you may have encountered this week that left you feeling negative…
You may not find the peace you are looking for in the struggles of this world, but you will always find peace in Him…
So, the next time you feel that negativity rising up… Just remember what Jesus said and did… Instead of venting, turn to Him, and turn that negativity in to a positive!!
